Looks like a great day...

Good morning people.
Today should be *so* fun. Do you know why? I'll tell you. It's because TWO of our three tellers are out sick today. That leaves me and my manager to be tellers all day and we have one other personal banker out front. So basically that makes me the only teller ALL day long. Good thing I have stuff for lunch here already! So far it hasn't been that bad. I think I could remember how to do the ATM if I went out there, but he has instructions I guess... so I'll be stuck inside. Blah. I'll be the one to close it and all that though. Just watch!

*sigh* I hope there aren't too many people today. I have less than 100 pages left in my book. Usually I would drag it out and try to make it last until her next one came out, but seriously.. I can't do that. It's too good. I bought the DVD of the Lifetime movie that they made from one of her books and I'm SUPER excited about watching it tonight. Before and after the American Idol results of course. I love Blake sooo much.

I went with Michael to bowling last night. My dad was there and he bought me a quesadilla which was *really* good. Then my dad and I played some trivia games on this little kiosk thingy. Then my dad and I played a game of pool and I was close to winning but didn't. I had a couple really good shots though! It was fun. Then he went to watch Michael bowl and I stayed and read my book. They came back to see me once in a while. Good times.

OMG OMG OMG.. This kid just came into the bank wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a pocket in the front and his hood was up and he had one had in the front pocket. I got all nervous!! He went over to the other PB and asked him a question and then left and walked out towards the ATM and then I saw Jeff come running back inside! So much stress!! lol..

Ah. ATM done. It's actually quite fun!!

Well that's enough for now. I'll probably write later.

:D

Happy Birthday!!

So today I turn 22! I know I'm still young, but I'm feeling kind of old.
I never really had any solid goals or ideas about what I'd have accomplished by this age, but I think I'm doing pretty well. I have the most wonderful husband, two families that love me, a decent job, a nice place to live with nice things, and my health.
Hopefully next year I can add "good mommy" to the list. Since there aren't any big birthdays to really look forward to anymore, that's what I want. A baby.
Michael said we should probably get a house first and sadly, I agree. Although it would be a very welcome surprise! I certainly won't do anything to stop it from happening if you know what I mean!
So tonight we're going out to dinner with my parents, my grandparents, and *maybe* his parents, but I doubt it. It will be really fun. I can't wait. My friend Katie said she would be stopping by today to see me at work. I'm sure she'll have a gift. I love presents!! Well that's all for now.
I love you Michael.
Happy Birthday to Me!!

New Bed

Happy Birthday to me.. in just 6 more days! La la la la la la la... :D

So, my dad and grandparents got Michael and I a new bed for our birthdays. Yes, his birthday is in SEPTEMBER. But it is a VERY nice bed. It will last us about 10 years! It's a Sealy Posurepedic KING SIZE bed! And then, my mother-in-law bought us (for my b-day) a beautiful comforter set and matching sheets and two decorative pillows. Guess what color?! PURPLE!!!!
I'll add some pictures soon. We just love it.

We recently went to see the new cartoon movie Meet The Robinson's with my dad. It's so cute! My favorite part - of course - is the giant dinosaur. "I have a big head...and little arms..." HAHAHAHA.

OH! I have to mention this.

Michael and I went shopping with Nikki & Mike at Wal-Mart. We walked around and since they are registered there, I said for them to find something on their registry for little Xavier and we would get it for them. Well we did walk around a LOT but they couldn't really find what they wanted! She kept suggesting little things like a blanket or onesies, but I said no because that wouldn't be enough. So they gave up and said they had to shop for food and other items. We said we would look a little more and catch up with them. So as soon as they were out of sight, Michael got the baby crib of their choice and a nice crib mattress to go with it and set it on top of a cart! He sneaked up to the checkout unnoticed by Nikki & Mike and put everything in my car. Then he came back in, found me, and we found them. (He had the phone!!) We acted very cool and said we couldn't really find anything either. "Oh well." So then I asked Nikki if we could come over to their house after shopping to hang out a little before Michael had to go home and sleep before working that night. She said, "Sure." So we left and met them at their house. We waited until they had gone inside, and then I went in. I took my camera to show them pictures of the bed. She asked, "Where is Michael?" "Oh, he'll be here in a minute. Look at these pictures!" I said quickly. And then when I thought it had been long enough I opened up the door and Michael was standing there holding the giant crib box on this shoulders! Nikki was SHOCKED! She managed to get out a few little words. "How..? When..? But..?" Hehe. She called Mike over and he literally kicked us both in the butt because he was so surprised. Then he hugged us. Michael said he had to go back out and they said, "For what?!" "The mattress!"
It was so wonderful. I love that we were able to do that for them and for Xavier. :D :D :D

Last night!! I went to see my favorite author speak. My mom came with me. We had a great time! First, Jodi Picoult (oh yes) read the first chapter of her new book, Nineteen Minutes. It was so cool to hear it how it was really intended to sound. Right from the author's mouth! Like one girl's last name was Phlug and I said it so that it rhymed with "plug" but it's actually like FLOOG. Also, Ducharme is like do-sharm instead of how I was reading it, like do-char-may. Cool. Then she answered questions from the audience and talked about her 2008 book AND her 2009 book!! I'm SO excited already and I'm not even done reading this book!!
After we waited for a LONG time to finally get our books signed, my mom and I went to see Mike & Nikki. That was fun. Found out when the baby shower is.

Now I'm on lunch at work and I'm on the phone with Michael. He's in Columbia, MO. I miss him!!

Bye for now, people. I *love* comments. That was a hint. :D
